Preschool Parent Information

Parent – Teacher Relationship

“Precious Memories Place” has an “Open Door Policy” so parents are welcome to visit the
center at any time without prior scheduling.

Monthly newsletters are available to keep parents informed of the center’s activities and are
available on our website, in our Parent Area and as a part of our monthly parent emails. “Daily Reflections” are utilized at the infant, toddler and pre-school levels to keep our parents informed on a daily basis. They include the following: potty & nap schedule along with meal information.

Additional parent conferences are also available upon request, and for your convenience, evening
conferences may be scheduled at any time.

For your convenience:

  • We frequently send out parent emails containing the newsletter, menu and monthly events.
  • We have “Add a Day” slips at the office to request any additional days needed outside of your regular schedule. Acceptance is based on daily availability.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Precious Memories Place does not discriminate on the basis of national origin, race, religion, cultural heritage, political belief, marital status or disabilities.

Tuition

  • Tuition is due and payable on the first day of each week the child is enrolled in the school regardless of attendance, i.e. sick days, vacation, holidays.
  • Adding days will not be allowed unless your account is at a current balance.
  • Any tuition payment received after the last day of the week will result in a $10.00 late fee. After two weeks of non-payment, a conference will be requested and your child’s secured slot will be at risk.
  • After two checks returned from the bank for non-sufficient funds payment must be made by money order, bank check or cash.
  • A child may be suspended or terminated due to lack of tuition payment.
  • No reduction in tuition is made for illness, vacations, holidays, center closings or other withdrawals.
  • You are responsible for the days you have registered for.
  • Due to staffing and the number of children allowed per day, we can not allow for make-up days or switching of scheduled days.

Withdrawals

It is the parent’s responsibility to submit a written notice two weeks prior to their child’s withdrawal from the center. If no advanced written notification is received, parents are held responsible for their child’s contracted tuition fee for the two weeks.

Notification of Change of Policy

Parents will be notified regarding any changes to policy.

Termination Policy

Precious Memories Place has the right to terminate a child or family from the center if necessary. The center leaves the discretion up to the directors for termination. The following reasons are included, but not limited to:

  • Lack of tuition payment
  • Lack of updated physical examination form in child’s folder
  • Lack of following through on Center Policies
  • PMP operates with a healthy family trust and relationship. Lack of maintaining this professionalism can result in family termination.

"Treating our kids like family"

Precious Memories Place is the premier daycare in our area because they treat our kids like family. It's a very comforting feeling when the owner of a large facility can take the time out of her day to explain the history of how they started and where they are going in the future. From the top down starting with owner, administration and all of the teachers, we couldn't be happier or more grateful for the care and love we get at Precious Memories Place.

"Precious Memories is an Extension of Our Family!"

We have been so fortunate to have such wonderful care for our children.  At every level--infant, toddler, pre-school and the new before and after partner program with Coogan Farm--our children have been happy, active, and safe...and more than ready for kindergarten!  They really know our kids: what they like, what sets them off, what will distract them for a smooth and quick drop off...and they know when I need a hand getting my screaming three-year-old son into his coat, or finding an extra owl sticker for the baby, or just a pause and a chat at the end of the day before heading down the hall to gather my energetic trio.  Balancing work and family is hard for us all, but Precious Memories has made it possible for me and my husband to do so with confidence, and we couldn't be more grateful.
